The timber frame raising party on Saturday was a fantastic event, thanks to the support and interest from the community. Thank you to all who made it out. The Durango Herald stopped by and wrote a nice piece in Sunday’s paper covering the party, the tours of the Day House and the progress on the timber frame. Thanks, Herald!
We were lucky to have Steve Keller and Shawn Novara, from Woodhouse Timber Frames, join us. One of our main goals in throwing the party was to raise awareness of timber frame construction technique. For those who stopped by to learn about timber framing, Steve and Shawn brought a collected experience of over 35 years.
Community interest in all of the projects at the Day property was a huge driver of this party. I’m grateful to my friend and colleague, Mark Williamson, for opening up his home (the Day House) and property to those who have so closely followed its evolution.
I’ll continue to post updates of the Day House renovation and the timber frame guesthouse. If you’re interested in checking out the finished products, they will both be in the Parade of Homes in September.
Until then, thank you for your continued support. Never hesitate to give me a call if I can be of any help with your timber frame and custom homebuilding questions.
Best,
Jared
